I bught a new Uberti Whitneyville Dragoon.
I amnew to BP revolvers. I can oull the barrel off my 1861 Navy, but I cannot pulling by hand on the Whitneyville.
Any suggestions on how to remove it without dammaging the pistol?
Thanks

Pull the wedge.

Place the web between two cylinders under the rammer and pull down on the rammer to lift the barrel up.

Put some leather between the metal parts for protection.

After removing the wedge try placing it on the handle and slowly with even pressure push down on the ramming rod. This should free it up unless it's very corroded. If that does not work try rotating the cylinder so the rammer contacts the portion between the empty chambers and repeat although be careful not to apply too much pressure. You can put a patch or similar over the cylinder if you are afraid of scratching it with the ramming rod.

Well, I gets better. I tried rotating the cylinder, it was binding in one spot and now it is now stuck!
I fear the problem is much worse than I expected.
