We had too many does 10 years ago..they all got whacked and now this state (Wis)is paying the price!
That's the beauty of land ownership(if you own enough) controlling deer numbers.

In my area, we had a "blue tongue" breakout in 2007. The deer population hasn't recovered from it by a long shot.
