Interesting antique percussion smooth bore .69 Howdah pistol. The 7.5" barrels have a Grey patina. Bores are pitted. Steel seems pretty sound otherwise. The nipples are slightly larger than No.11, which will not seat well enough to go bang. Could be turned down easy enough with drill and flat file. There are proofs I cannot ID on underside if barrel. Stock is in good shape and brass fitted. Butt has a hatched compartment for caps. Barrel held in place with two brass wedges. Would make a cool Buck and Ball pistol, as PRB might be tough. $600 + Shipping.

It may just be the picture, but judging by the thickness of the muzzle walls, are they different “chokes,” eg, improved cylinder and modified, etc.?
