Yodels spent all season doing just that...jumping from tree to tree and chattering his head off. Whee I'd come in near the power right-of-way the deer and Mr. Noise Box would be over by the stand tree...I'd go over there, they'd be over by the easement! Did see an enormous bobcat and an exotic Blackbuck who'd snuck off the exotic animal ranch. Got off one shot at a small 4-point that got deflected and hit directly below him and he may still be running! Every squirrel I've ever hunting or watched has been very leary of humans...not Yodels! The last day when he dropped acorns around me was just too much. I hope that little lunatic lives forever! :rotf:

Suppose it's only fair to mention the reason he was so insanely POed was the first day his antics had somewhat miffed me. At the end of the day, I cleared the piece with a shot into an oak where I knew he was hiding off the back side. I knew it wouldn't penetrate and he did a back flip and hit the ground taking off in a rooster-tailed shower of leaf debris and grass leavings! I laughed pretty good but had no idea what it would lead to. :rotf:

Back in the old days (before my BP conversion) I had the same experience with a grey sq. One morning just after light he started------- it ended soon with a 150 gr 30.06 round.

Probably should have but I was having too much fun screwing with him. That year my accounts read like some Sat. morning serial...The Peril of Pauline! :haha:
