I keep finding these things and I’m not even a Remington shooter... oh well. $500.00 plus shipping, the gun has obviously been worked on, nice action and the crisp 2# trigger pull breaks cleanly thanks to the aftermarket trigger stop.
I know nothing about the history of the piece except it’s 2001 vintage, has a spare Shooters model cylinder which is unfired. Uses a .457 or larger round ball or conical bullet, the chambers measure .456 according to my pin gauges. The gun has progressive rifling as do all of this model, designed for formal target competition. There’s a screwdriver scar on the frame that’s been touched up, possibly with cold blue, and a bit of old rust spotting on the loading lever, there are a few marks here and there and the grips have a ding or two but otherwise the gun is in very good working condition, bore and chambers are perfect.
