So here’s another file knife I’ve been working on and the plan was to try my hand at pouring a pewter bolster. I just so happened to stop by a Goodwill store and found a thick pewter ornament and small 4-5in cast iron dish for $5. It’s perfect for melting the pewter in. Here’s the final result. I used painters tape for the “dam” which worked really well. It’s 9-1/4” overall with 4-1/2” handle and 4-3/4” blade. The blade is 3/16” thick.
