I made meat this year with my 1861 and I am amazed at it's accuracy potential. My tired eyes are having a hard time with the standard sights and I would like to upgrade to a more modern adjustable rear sight. I am not worried about being PC. Is there anything out there that I can use without too much modification?
Rebel, BB75, what do you guys think?

While they read yours can I add anyone know of a old eyes front blade for Enfields. Fred

Hi river rat, try S&S firearms they have nice flip up sights that you can drill a small hole and turn it into a peep site and that helps a bunch,
As for the front sight on that enfield is it just too thick for you? some folks I know of have cut down the front sight and slotted it and installed a thinner brass piece, it helped out a good friend. hope this helps ..bb75
