When? - No idea …

Defarb? - Why? Is it really needed? For what it’s worth, I placed mine next to an original a friend has, at the range just within the last 6-months, and other than my barrel was a tad larger in diameter due to being 58-caliber, and not 54 … everyone at the range (all experience BP builders, collectors & shooters) were actually very impressed with how well it mimicked the original.

Some say the Zoli‘s have poor locks, but the one I have someone must have already been tuned up because it works flawlessly!

Info - Hate to be the one to say it, but type ‘Zoli’ and ‘1803’ into the search feature - like done below - which works well on this site.

PM me if needed, or if you’re looking to acquire one …

What? I love mine as it came from Zoli. Fit and finish is superb and lock is flawless in operation and appearance. Often touted as the the most attractive US rifle every made and an icon. There is at least one non Zoli made copy out there that is of much lesser quality and has gotten some deserved condemnation.

Thanks, Smoothie! I did just that, after I realized that's what was needed. I have my eye on one that might be coming up for sale shortly; a NIB Zoli. I'd say you're right about "why de-farb", I was maybe thinking how "new" they look but then the real ones were new at one point. I can't check the date code on it just now, but think they probably stopped making them some time ago. I appreciate your input! 👍
