Last year I used my TC Encore because I could not find any #11 caps for my Renegade. I found one place that has a $40. hazmat fee, limit two but out of stock! Any local Texas retailers have them on the shelf?

where in Texas are you located?

I’ve got thousands in 11’s 10’s and RWS 1075’s. I ran a WTS, want to trade, for 4 wing musket caps. (deleted by the mods as a violation) Guess no one lives near Charlotte County Florida. Can’t mail the bloody things.

Bill Jackson’s Shop For Adventure in Pinellas Park has musket caps in stock every time I have been there. Sometimes there is a limit to how many tins you can buy, sometimes not, and depending on who’s working the counter, it varies. I know it’s a drive from Charlotte county, but not too bad if you really need them.
i would be interested in getting some of your caps. pm if you would like to discuss.

Apparently one can’t list black powder or percussion caps for sale in the classifieds. They weren’t for sale just a face to face trade, moot point I guess.

Moderator no complaint here just answering an inquiry.
I’m not a mod, but I don’t think they would have an issue with members PMing each other to arrange a face-to-face trade. You just can’t have an ad for hazmat-type stuff. Liability, I guess.

I did try a Musket cap nipple but had fail to fire issues related to too soft a hammer blow. Wouldn't pop em reliably.

I replaced my TC Hawken nipple with musket cap nipple a while back, and it helps to press the cap very firmly on the nipple. They fit really tight On my treso nipple.

I switched to musket caps 3 years ago . There's a shop in town that has a pile of RWS musket caps. $30.00 for 200. I'm stocked for awhile.

I think we all should give Remington a call and ask when they expect to do a production run of Remington #10 caps.

My local Dunhams had a bunch of CCI #11 Magnums........GunBroker has vendors with 100+ QTY listed 1000 cap cases of #11's for $120

As much as I actually get to shoot anymore I probably have enough to last me the rest of my life, since I went crazy before the "hoarding" started and picked up about 5,000 #11's because I actually thought I'd shoot that much.

I found some #10s at Bass pro but no #11s to be found. There's a guy on YouTube called Sharpshooter that sells a kit for making your own caps out of beer cans. He sells a punch and some magic powders that you mix together and it makes priming compound.

I'm mechanically challenged and they worked for me.
Bot would I love to find me a bunch of #10 caps for my ROA. I need #11's too & they seem abit easier to find than the #10's. I happened to move to an area thats not much into muzzleloading & any supplies for them are going to be few & far between & a pretty far drive.
IT SUCKS!!!

I took off work and drove 100 miles round trip to go to Bass Pro. Lol.

Its about the same to get to the closest one to me as well. Its an expensive trip between gas & what that stores prices for everything are. I normally try to avoid the big stores like them for reloading & shooting supplies, but theres not really any other choice now. All said & done, sadly, its about the same cost as finding stuff online much cheaper, but havin to pay inflated shipping & hazmat fees for what I need. I'm feelin abit like I royally screwed up by not being a hoarder at the very beginning of this sad unbelievable trend we are in.

Make your own. #10 Percussion Cap Maker Bought the die and prime all kit a month or so ago and have made over 100 caps so far. Work great and they are cheap and easy to make.
