    I have a Volunteer that is very accurate. It took a bit of experimenting to get the most out of it. I shoot a 540 gr. lubed bullet and swiss 2f.     Traditions Crockett 32 = POS !

    An aluminum arrow makes a good field and range rod and the inserts are a 10-32 (I think) so jags and other accessaries can be screwed on to it. I think the dia. was a 2216. My crockett is 5 yrs. old and my biggest complaint is that I don't have the skills to make it a full stock in maple.

    Lyman Volunteer Bullet Ballistic Coefficient

    I believe the bullet # is 451114. It is similiar to the Whitworth bullet #457121PH but is 25 grs. lighter than the Whitworth and the BC of it is .243.

    I use it on conicals for my Ruger. they have grease grooves to hold the lub and work well with little mess.
