    Ct. Deer Hunters,Please Read..

There are already plenty of areas on public land designated for bow hunting only. IMO, I don't think it'll fly as there's too few Traditional hunters here and a vocal archery group in this state. From what I've been reading on local forums is that they don't want to hear any shots during "their"...

    Ct. Deer Hunters,Please Read..

Please carefully read and respond to your deer survey. Ct.DEEP Deer Survey One of the questions pertain to opinions on a traditional only October deer season in Connecticut. The Archery guys are strongly opposed to Traditional ML hunters invading "Their" woods in October. The archery lobby is...

    Whitetail hunting tips

Well, they can say what they want about certain scents, and I was a naysayer till recently too. I set up a trail cam on my front lawn where there is an active scrape for 3 weeks. I usually have a buck or two checking out the rub per night. The other night I put a few drops of Tinks 69 on their...

    The Dark side of Hunting

1978 12ga. slug blew apart a sapling 10 feet from me in a State Forest here in Ct. Never seen who shot it. Haven't set foot in a State Forest here since.

    Percussion Vs flintlock for hunting?

I think shooting Flinters makes one a more disciplined marksman. This can carry over into into other shooting areas, which is a good thing. I like em all!

    Who Sees "The Flash"?

I don't see the flash, but I do feel the heat from it.

    Buck or doe?

Deer densities in my part of the state are very high. Problem is getting access to hunt those areas. Most land here is either densely populated by people, locked up already or off limits. This bruiser in my yard 2 years ago was killed by a local poacher with a high velocity air rifle..

    Buck or doe?

    Buck or doe?

Where is this "grocery shopping" state land? Sounds pretty easy, this deer hunting thing. :shocked2: Might have to try it this year.

    Haven't fired a shot...game over

roundball, From what I've been reading in the Turkey forums, your experiences seem to be in line with what others are saying in other states. Birds are quiet after flydown and it still seems they are henned up pretty good. Either guys are getting birds quickly or are working very hard. I still...
