    barrel re-boreing

Back the day there were people on these forums, who were having 1" 54 cal. barrels bored out to .62. Usually they were Green Mountain IBS barrels. But I can't remember who the tradesman was that was doing this. Any info would be appreciated.

    .50 caliber Colt Dragoon?

I just had a similar experience, got it off Gunbroker. Looks similar to yours but has the extra screws for a butt stock though the grips aren't set up for it. Cylinders are .482, cone is .484 and the muzzle is .482. The date code is AH so it would appear to be a 81.

    .50 caliber Colt Dragoon?

Similar experience, bought one off Gunbroker, went to load it and the .451 bullet fell into the chamber. Was a little dumbfounded at first, then I remembered this thread. Using a caliper the cylinders are .482 to .483, the forcing cone is .484 at the leading edge. The most I get at the muzzle...

    1860 Armi San Paola

The frame is being described as a Armi San Paolo, I never tried any Uberti screws, mainly cause all I had at my disposal was San Marco, and Pietta parts and revolvers.

    1860 Armi San Paola

I guess that now that I work where there is a mill shop, if need be I have the four holes opened up and threaded to accept the Pietta screws.

    1860 Armi San Paola

So after almost 3 yrs I am back to this revolver, I have a replacement frame with arbor/ cylinder pin coming. Now I am looking for just the backstrap screws, which are the same as the rear trigger guard. S&S are out of stock, Winchester Sutler seems to be gone. I have sent a e-mail to Euro arms...

    1860 Armi San Paola

Yes it is as steel frame, used a hardwood wedge to move pin up, went a little to far and had to bring it back down, it assembles easily, doesn't bind. It still has issues, so I think I will set it aside for awhile or leave it as is, don't know yet. thanks for all the input, neither sutler had...

    1860 Armi San Paola

Zug, numbers match, thinking same thing. laid a straight edge on it but my tired eyes can't tell, thinking pin could be bent at frame. The parts I need are the 2 frame screws and possibly the cyl. pin. I have received no rely from Win. Sutler, will try S & S. Winchester Sutler has the exploded...

    1858 Rem Navy Arms

Been to that page, that's where I got the date, rt. side of frame, proof marks and date code. Rt. side of barrel, proof marks. Left side of barrel, caliber. top of barrel as previously stated, grip frame ser. no. Any where else to look for a makers mark?
  13. B

    1860 Armi San Paola

Been to both of them, there are a lot of differences between a Marcos and Paola, frame and some screws, spent money on parts that won't work.

    1860 Armi San Paola

I have a this revolver that is in need of parts and advice. I received the piece as being locked up, it was, nothing would move, barrel wedge had to be drifted out, hammer screw was partly backed out and bound. Once dis-assembled, screw threads cleaned up and frame reassembled, cylinder slid in...

    1858 Rem Navy Arms

44 cal, 1968 vintage, only marked Navy Arms, Ridgefield NJ -- Italy on the top barrel flat. This would be made by Pietta yes?

    So easy....

Good doins, that looks like a Navy Arms .58 Buffalo Hunter, did you have it bored out?

Dixie has the kit, thinking about it, but not set up to fire blue or case harden. What other finishes would work for this revolver?

    Illinois ML Season

Missouri numbers are down close to 50%, last year the total was over 311,000, right now with just the late season and late youth left, there has been just over 151,000 taken this year. I've seen 3 deer this year, one was a not legal buck, granted I haven't been able to put much time in the woods.

    Missouri Muzzle loader season

I didn't like it much when they moved the season to late Dec. But this, I fail to find the words to adequately describe my feelings. The only solice is that the bulk of the hunters are lazy and won't be out. But on the other hand, those who used the modern BP rifles will be out with the...
