    Breech Plug Thread Sealer

If it leaks when it is assembeled, then it doesn't seat on the end of the breech plug like todays practice.Standard threading and taping is only 75% thread make-up which allows for some void around the threads. This is where your leak is most likely,Providing something isn't broken. TC Cherokee hard trigger pull

Sounds like the geometery in the trigger needs to be corrected. Instead of the trigger slipping off the sear and allowing the hammer to fall, the pulling of the trigger is haveing to push the hammer back before allowing it to release which exerts additional pressure on the felt trigger pull...

    Ruger Old Army

The nipples on the ROA have a slight taper to them that prevents the caps from seating well once fired and dirtied. You can remove them and chuck them in a drill press or lathe and remove most all of the taper with a file and eliminate the misfire problem. Just be careful not to alter the outer...

What kind of wax for my horn

Carnauba wax is the hardest and probably the most durable wax. Wood turners use it to finish bowls and plates. It has to be applied to the part then liquefied with a felt or cotton buffing wheel. It is available in blocks from Woodcrafters.com but it is a little price"e, however it will last ya...

    Bulged barrel

Chek the flats on the outside of the barrel with a good streight edge. it sounds like it could be or has been bent if the blemish inside isn't uniform all the way around. It's hard to determine the safty factor of an unseen barrel but you may be able to send it to green Mt and let them check it...
