    Kassner .45 percussion

    the single shot pistol is a .45 percussion. To prepare for firing load, cock set trigger then pull back hammer. It goes to half cock and it stays but then when pulled to full cock it does not stay all the time. Any suggestions what to look for? Thanks from the go to all!

    C.V.A. double .50 cal express

    I have the oppurtunity to purchase a C.V.A. .50 cal express double rifle, anyone used one or know the value? The gun itself is in nice shape some freckling near the hammers, wood is nice no dents... bore is perfect. It has Bears engraved on the locks but no other engraving. Sorry no pictures...

    cap and ball fie revolver

    Picked up a brass framed revolver in very good shape with a flask... The scene on the cylnder is of a stage coach. Overall the gun is on the small size, bore looks to be about 3/8". Any help It is marked on the gripstrap fie italy.

    replacement sight

    Dixie has two differant sights for T.C. . They call them california sights; one is a fixed sight and the other is an adjustable. I purchased one of the fixed sights but as of yet have not installed it.

    FFG vs FFFG

    I am asking why some manufacturers rccomend 2fg or 3fg for their guns.What I mean is 2 similar rifles from differant manufacturers 2 differant reccomendations. Example; .54 hawkin CVA vs T.C.. I thought over .50 2fg under 3fg. Or is it just a matter of finding your own load for your gun.

    when cleaning some yard sale finds traditions hawken, it seems that when using patches and jag they sometime like to get stuck in the breech area. Creating instant panic on how to remove them. So far I have been lucky and done this with a range rod which is very sturdy and have gotten them out...

    L & R lock for T.C. Hawkin

    I was at a local gunshow and picked up a L & R lock for a T.C. . My question is this; is it worth the effort to modify the stock for this lock or just keep it till I need a new lock. The price was right and we don't see many blackpowder items in my area. Thats why I got it.

    cleaning frizzen, no spark afterwards

    Just picked up a .45 T.C. hawkin and fired it the past few days. Both times after cleaning there would be no spark. I cleaned the gun with T.C. blackpowder cleaner, wipe the frizzen ...after wards no spark would be produced untill I changed flints. Am I doing something wrong?

    Wanting to cast my own lead balls and I aquired some ball molds T.C. mold for .490 ball and a lyman ball mold for .530 ball.     I know I read it some where on the forum but what is the best way to get a broken bore brush out of the barrel? Is using tubing an accepted way, hopefully getting it on to the brush and trapping the bristles :( ?
