    Sharps Paper Cartridge

Bringing the dead back to life! "Bleeding barrel effect"? What is that, I can't find it using the search. Looking to pick up a Sharps carbine within the next couple of weeks and I'm curious what's meant. Thanks!

    GM Barrel nipple threads

I'll admit I've been gone a while and haven't followed anything on this. What's the problem with a heli-coil if done properly? Or are those last three words the key/problem? :hmm:

    GM Barrel nipple threads

I was planning on getting a TC Hawken and getting the .32 and .45 barrels...eh, I may hold off on that plan. :shocked2:

DGW Cub Rifle vs Pedersoli Scout Carbine?

Thanks, I was curious since there are some extras listed for the DGW that weren't for the Pedersoli such as the percussion to flint conversion. I'd hate to get the Pedersoli only to find out the conversion couldn't be used if I were to decide I wanted to go for it. :hmm:

    Convert to flint or percussion...why?

Oh yeah, I been bit alright... :rotf: A year and a half ago I picked up two Colt repro revolvers (.36 and .44) to try BP shooting since I figured every shooter needs to at least try BP once. Since then those two revolvers have multiplied into 2 Rem 1858s, one Rem 1858 revolving rifle, a Colt...

    Convert to flint or percussion...why?

OK, I can see that. Especially if the owner was limited for one reason or another to strictly one rifle. OTOH I'm like you, sounds like a reason to buy TWO rifles! :haha:

    Convert to flint or percussion...why?

As long as I'm asking questions... :haha: I saw you can get a kit to convert your flint to percussion and vice versa. Why? Is it just to suit whatever mood you happen to be in? :hmm: I like my Contender because I can shoot rimfire or centerfire as my mood (and budget :shocked2: ) allow...

DGW Cub Rifle vs Pedersoli Scout Carbine?

Got a DGW catalog with my recent order and was thumbing through it early this morning. Both of these look interesting but I'm not sure there's much difference between them unless I am overlooking something. The only differences I could find was the Scout having an adjustable buckhorn rear...

Swapping barrel on 1860 Army? Issues?

Thanks, that's what I suspected. I just didn't want to be typing any messages one handed for any odd reason though... :haha: :hatsoff:

Swapping barrel on 1860 Army? Issues?

It's so simple even I can do it...but that's not the issue. :haha: If I want to install a shorter barrel on my Pietta 1860 Army, are there any safety concerns to check for such as cylinder gap etc? Instead of hacking the barrel I have, I was thinking of getting a shorter one so I could use...
