Pedersoli Jäger Rifle, Any One Shoot one ?

I have had 3"- 3 shot groups at 100 yds. at a bench with a forarm rest. Swabbed with 1 patch w/ spit between shots. .015" commercial patch, .530" rball, .45-70 case full (80gr.+/-) of 3F Goex. I have had groups like that several times, so I think they shoot OK with roundball. I have a pic of one...

MN Big Game regulations & ML

Jesse Venturas administration fixed a lot of laws and rules in MN. These are a lot easier/simpler to understand then before they helped us.

    Pipe and tobacco

I use bourbon and a good cotton pipe cleaner. The tar disolves easily with alcohol and you get a very clean pipe.

    Whats your favorite Tobacco?

I haven't read anyone recommending C&D PirateCake. Some good/strong Latakia flavor there. It makes a great air freshener also.

Opinions comments on Dixie Jaeger flintlock rifle

Actually I use a used .45-70 case. It just happened to work filled and leveled off with FFFg Goex. I'll have to look in my notes, but I think it's 80-85 gr. by volume.

Unless they changed it recently, the nose cap is steel. When I bought mine which was a kit,it and some of the other steel parts had a light blueing finish. I browned all the steel and I think it looks better all brown. It shoots good, don't be scared off if you want to use PRB's.

    Pedersoli Jaeger Rifle-54cal

I have one of these and they do IMO shoot well. I can keep a 3shot group (w/ a forend rest)at 3" +/- at 100 yds. That's with PRB's. Edit- Mine is a cap lock.

    Jaeger length?

http://www.braunschweiger-jaeger.de/index.html http://www.jaegerkorps.org/home.html there are more pics of the arms than dimensions, but I think it's worth a look and read. http://www.littlegun.info/arme%20allemande/a%20a%20image%20arme%20allemande%20gb.htm Down the page there are gun makers...

    pedersoli Jaeger rifle

Well since i couldn't edit my post, i'll just reply to it. I found a target. This is shooting off a bench, holding the gun and just resting the forend (above/in my hand)on a rest. Ofcourse I have to do my part and load each shot consistently. If you like the style, I think these are great guns...

I have one of those Ped. Jaegers. What do you guys consider good shooting? BTW I use 80+/- grs. of FFF w/ a prb.

    Pinned barrel cleaning

When I clean my Ped. Jaeger, I lean the gun against something w/ the muzzle pointing up. Turn the gun so the barrel is on the underside (water will not run up into the stock/barrel channel). Add a hose (auto parts store bought) to the nipple, and clean away. Try not to splash too much water or...

    Jaeger Lovers...

Get out there and shoot that someb--ch. Mine was bought as a kit (green horn). I think it and I so far have turned out good, with proper loading and sighting I can get 3" 3 shot groups at 100 yds. held off a rest.

    Cast Iron Pot

Does that stuff have an ingredient list on it? I'm just wondering/hoping it doesn't have any lead in it. But it sounds like it might be a tin alloy. I have never heard of the stuff so i'm just thinking btw.
