    i'd get some one with an oxy/act torch to weld up the plate and re file to fit. there is no "hardness" to the plate. it is 8620 cast steel. tie wire works fine.

    you could always take triggers out and install reverse. never had a problem with this on several sxs . triggers are most likely pined to wood. with them passing thru trigger plate.

    i have,with sucess, shimmed the hole in the lock plate. used an old set of "feeler" gauges/shim stock for the job. .003 did the job for me. used a donor pair of shears to cut a strip the width of the lock plate and long enough to wrap the tumbler shank. tuck it in and re-install hammer, make...

    the brass screws on wedge plate are not from T.C. they were steel. bet on it being a kit. the sight on backwards gave me a chuckle .
