    What caliber?

Mart, You might try giving chambers a call. They might be able to set you up with a left handed gun if you dont mind doing a little more work. i don't think its gonna be much of a problem for them to not have the lock inlet. Saw this today

What the picture doesn't show is him sitting up in the woods eating blackberries. Where I saw him is a fairly wooded area and I doubt he was gonna be much of a problem.

What are you paying to hunt?

When I lived in Ga. 60 would get you anything you wanted including 12 deer a year, bear, turkey, Trout stamp, and just about everything else but federal waterfowl stamp. This included WMA hunting

    Inletting black

For a cheap solution I just use a thin coating of vaseline and then run the part over an oil lamp with out the chimney. Works great and is cheap. Jack

    What Rifle?

Go with the chambers. Just understand that this is not a snap together kit but just a parts set. I recently completed my first build and it was a Chambers smooth rifle. Just take your time and it will turn out fine. Jack

'Fraid my new Howda won't kill much...

Little known fact about how the howda got its name. A eurpoean hunter upon seeing the first one looked at the maker and said " Howda' heck am I supposed to shoot that thing" :rotf:

    whiskey colored finished stocks

Try LMF nut brown and some Chambers oil finish. I got that reddish brown color on my smooth rifle doing this. When you order the oil finish from chambers tell them you want it more to the red side. Something about the closer to the end of a batch it gets a little redder. Jack
