I ordered my Kibler Woodsrunner today!

I was going to shoot her today, but getting all my stuff together I realized a couple things. My stainless range rod is about 4 inches too short. So no problem I'll just use the ramrod on the gun, then I found out all my cleaning jags are .50 cal and 10/32 threads. The ram rod on the gun is...

I ordered my Kibler Woodsrunner today!

I agree, after all it's a "Woodsrunner" and in the woods she will be. I have pointed that rifle at everything in the back yard today. I had always heard how rifles like these point so naturally. Its almost effortless. And the balance? Amazing. I can see this thing and I spending a lot of...

I ordered my Kibler Woodsrunner today!

Thank you. Yeah I had the brass tarnished with brass black but it made the overall look of the rifle too dark with the browned barrel and walnut. So more elbow grease fixed that. Thank you also for the tip about the Jax Black. I'll do that.

    My balls

I just had to clean my Lee Pot. The plunger rod had a bunch of gunk around the end of it so I was only getting a dribble not a steady stream out of the spout. I guess it was time because this pot is probably 10 years old and this is the first time it's ever been emptied out. Anyway I wanted to...

    12L14 Steel good enough?

Oh yeah we will taper it down to the muzzle and turn down the rear section that the tiller will go in to. The bulk will be in the chamber area. I'm kinda basing it off the one that I have now with maybe some ques to the ones sold on sites like military heritage. My buddy thinks he's gonna help...

I ordered my Kibler Woodsrunner today!

Well its done. Or sort of. I see a few things that need addressed. The Browning on the very rear tip of the Lock must have been really thin in that area, that or it didn't take at all right there on the point. And I see a few pins that could be a tad shorter. But overall, I'm grinning like a...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

No, they go right in. I load them on the gun. The gun shoots to point of aim @ 25 yards with them too.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Nice isn't it? I wasn't fond of the Stainless at first but it has quickly became a favorite. Especially with that 240 grain Conical in it. It shoots so dang good with that bullet.

    12L14 Steel good enough?

It's probably gonna be a bit on the heavy side. But we will see. I'll post up some progress pics whenever we get started. My Friend down at the Mill, has to have a knee replacement coming up soon, so we won't be able to start on it until he gets a little better after surgery.
