Any one going to attend he school in January. Been wanting to attend but work always came first. Now since I have retired I have the time. Also has anyone attended in the past, if so perhaps a few directional pointers would be appreciated. Thanks R.C.

Gill / Guys:

You think they will have the guys push Bateaux up that river for a few hundred miles? He, he.

I have been on one re-enactment. Arnold's treck to Quebec with the battle on the Plains of Abraham. 1975 or 76. Those guys did some tough stuff pushing those huge Bateaux up the Kennebec.

Anyway, having been through Ranger School, it isn't something I would particularly want to re-enact. Especially in the middle of the winter.

More power to you guys though. It would be pretty cool and fifty bucks is dirt cheap for what they call 'adventure training' these days.

If you go, you got to tell us what you ate. Maybe they will give you a head in a sack that you can dine on over the weekend?

I lived in Wheaton Md. for 21 years and never heard of this school of the ranger. If I had of heard of it, I would certainly have done the school. I left Md. the end of 1991. Back then I was young and very fit, now I'm older and probably can't do the physical part. Sounds like a fun, informative thing to do. Sorry I missed it.
