I am far from an expert and am trying to learn.

Since I got back into the sport I have been trying to create gear that is authentic to the time period (with all of the obvious pitfalls that brings) represented by my guns and the period I am interested in.

To wit, the horn pictured below. This is a contemporary horn. Nicely made. I am curious if it represents a certain, period, style or school? If so, what would the appropriate time period be for it?

Thanks!

Interesting video I found on a few of their horns.

Looks like this is representative of Timothy’s work. Which puts it solidly in the middle of the Fur Trade era. Perfect!
