hey folks, what works best in a repro. zouave p.r.ball or hollow base minnie? what are the best loads? and what type of powder works best? thanks,Dave

I've heard roundballs in the earlier repros. I have a Navy Arms by Antonio Zoli and it may be a 1:72 twist which argues for roundball. Keep meaning to try them. My local Dick's-(sed-to-be-Galyans) has five boxes of .570 roundballs for under $6 each that I mean to pick up soon so's I can give it a try.

The gun was designed to shoot mini-balls. Be sure and get a bullet mold the right size. Most of the foreign repros have oversized bores. You may need at least a .578 bullet.
