Now that looks like a fun project, for someone who knows what he's doing. I am not familiar at all with that type of firearm. I hope you'll keep us informed as the restoration project moves forward.

That may be a cartridge pistol…..used by people in the parlor to shoot targets, usually at a board in the fireplace as a backstop.
