Not sure if this should be here or in craftsmanship, I really think that's where it belongs but it's about a craft material vendor so I'll place it here for now.
I know Tandy can be a "go to" place for leather crafting stuff due to their name recognition. They are somewhat limited in selection in certain departments though. One thing I've found elsewhere that they don't have are strips/straps of leather thin enough and long enough to be used as a single piece strap for a shot pouch or shooting bag.

I've used this for my last couple bags and once the stiffness is broken out of them and some mink oil is worked into the rough side (after dye is applied to the smooth side) they are great.
