Hi
You are in Long Island?
Can you have cap and ball revolvers there?
I really do not know.
Dont want us to get into trouble.
You are new and I do not know. Perhaps we should ask a Mod or something.

It’s not NYC, different rules apply there.

" NY Penal Law § 265.00(3). An "antique firearm" is defined as any unloaded muzzle-loading pistol or revolver with a matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system, or a pistol or revolver that uses fixed cartridges that are no longer available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade. NY Penal Law § 265.00(14). A license is not required to possess, collect or carry an unloaded antique firearm."

the above is no longer true... see n.y. new gun law s-51001 nothing is exempt now. i just had to have a real rev. war musket shipped to a f.f.l. thanks to the witch
I looked, I’m not sure what changed for black powder guns?

they are no longer exempt. must be shipped to ffl and need a nics check. ever antiques. anything that fires a projectile is a firearm under new law. read S-51001 to the end as most is about new handgun laws.

I called a local gun shop and they said no ffl required for BP
