I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and I'm trying to come up with a nice BP pistol to commemorate our deployment for Soldiers to buy if they want one. I'm thinking a model 1848 Dragoon would be fitting since were a Cavalry unit (5-1 CAV and 1st Cavalry Regiment is known as the 1st Regiment of Dragoons) I would like to find a pistol and accessory set in a wooded box that we could have some engraving done on. I'm willing to out sourse the engraving and box if need be but it would be better if I can find somewhere that does it all. Does any one know of a good place to look for something like this? The cost needs to be on the lower side so Soldiers can afford them and the engraving will naturally cost extra as well. What brands would be good quality at a lower price?
Thanks, Mike

I would suggest that you call Dixie. They might be willing/able to arrange for engraving, a plate on box, or some such. Contact info:
