Lap it. Stop fiddling with fancy lube and what ever mixes and melt some bees wax and add olive oil.
While you're doing that make sure the nipple barrel is not bearing down on the lock plate. If it is rectify it so it does not touch the lock plate.
I've lost count how many times I have typed this!
