For crying out loud! I can't seem to find either one of these rifles for sale. Would love to trade a fine unmentionable buffalo rifle or just right out buy one. I've looked online without luck. Have they all dried up? Has covid or shipping problems really hit our hobby this bad?

I can’t say on here but it’s a Pedersoli 45-70 32” barrel pistol grip checkered beauty. Hurry and look before I get banned or locked out.

You just missed a Parker 2 band and a Euro Cook brothers in the for sale section.

FWIW , about the ArmiSport, I have both a Pedersoli and an ArmiSport CS Richmond, and I like the ArmiSport a little better. They make a good barrel and the lock is tighter. The Pedersoli feels like a cap gun.

Pedersoli .58 rifles are basically Euroarms with a Pedersoli stamp on them, since Pedersoli bought the entire Euroarms tooling and dies, and just kept making them. I'd bet a lot of them are made up of NOS Euroarms barrels and stocks too.

That being said , Pedersoli makes a beautiful Hawken rifle, and their flintlock smoothbore muskets are top notch, as well as their 1816 Springfield percussion conversion.

But the Pedersoli 1861 Springfields and Enfields are on par with the ArmiSport , in my opinion. If you took one from each maker and had Lodgewood defarb them, the Armi Sport would probably come out better.

I have one it is defarbed used it for reenacting the gun is in excellent condition, was thinking about the trade, but your to far from my home base, good luck on your search.

Dixie has the Pedersoli Cook & Brother rifle in stock , obviously it is just their 2-Band Enfield with a block sight and a slightly different stock

I had wanted one but for these inflated prices , $1300 I'll just keep sucking up Parker-Hales for $800-1000

At the price of a new Pedersoli, you could buy a shooter grade original. They're pricing themselves out of the repop market.

Go on auctioneers.com, enter this into the search engine. They are out there. Apply to bid.

I’ll probably do just that very thing. I’m going to try to sell my unmentionable first so I have some hobby money to blow. Thank you for the idea.

Not many people are looking to pay nearly $1500 for a reproduction .58 Springfield or Enfield, Pedersoli really is pricing themselves out of the market.

You can still get an Armi Sport 1861 Springfield kit for $850 , which is still high in my opinion.

I've seen nice original 1861 Springfields and contract rifles for less than $1000 because fewer people are collecting them, reenacting has fallen off and there really isn't a lot of interest in these, as a whole. Plus millions were made so more survive, unlike stuff like Revolutionary era flintlocks.
