Well, it's time for everyone to stop discussing the merits and dangers of having a trigger guard or no trigger guard.
It is also way past time for several of you people to stop with the bickering. So far, I've had to delete several posts and it this sort of thing continues I'll just delete the entire topic.
 
They loaded their muskets after priming. War is not a safe vocation. I bet more then one man that shot him self in battle or on the way to. Artillery men today can go a lifetime without an accident, but I bet more then one was killed by a battlefield screw up. You got to weigh your risk. I’d take a Scottish pistol in my belt over a bayonet in my throat.
