Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Because of the fire and loss of serial number records, we can't really know for sure. @nit wit is probably close for the first serial number. The second serial number is probably later in the 1970's say '74 to '78. The third number is most likely from the mid to late 1980's. The actual date of manufacture really makes little difference in performance, reliability or financial value. What matters is the condition. So continue to take good care of your rifles.
28xxx mid to late 70’s. 67xxx 70’s to early 80’s. 361xxx 80’s to early 90’s. By the Hawken’s 25th year anniversary model in 1995 serial #’s were in the 1/2 million range and up.
