Would some of you tell me of the smileys you remember using the most? And if you have any favorite smiley sites. I have a couple of smiley sites, but never hurts to have more.

So. List your favorite smileys and tell me if small, or med sized.

I'll be hunting soon, maybe tomorrow.

Thanks, Angie

Hmm

No, that's not me trying to remember. It is one of my favorite smileys, with the face looking skyward while scratching his chin.

Another one I liked was the ROTF (Rolling On The Floor) with the little guy rolling back and forth while kicking his feet in the air. I thought it was much better than the grin :D at conveying the idea of humor. The :D smiley reminds me of the look people give others when they think they have the upper hand in a debate.

In the post I look at I don't see the actual smilies. All I see are the names like Thumbsup and Hatsoff.

I don't have them installed yet. It's on my list of things to get done.

The reason you see "" and ":hatsoff:" and things like that is because the new forum software doesn't recognize that these were the commands to show one of the old smilies.

Other old commands were :hmm: for the thoughtful face, :ROTF: for the little guy laying on his back and rolling back and forth while kicking his feet in the air, for the toothy face and many others for all the rest of the smilies we used to have.

I think a : followed by a ) still makes a :) and a : followed by a ( still makes a sad face :( and colon mad colon still make a mad

The two I miss both had a tricorn hat. One was a thumb's up and the other tipping his hat (hat's off).

I thing Claude designed those himself.

Why not just ask Claude where he got the old emojis?
