What size flint for the Traditions Mountain Rifle?

Use 5/8x5/8.

With my Pennsylvania Traditions/Ardesa (same lock) I use 3/4, 5/8 is a little too small and needs a too thick leather or too much advance the flint in the jaws.

I was just looking at L&R Replacement Locks for this gun…5/8 x 3/4 is what they recommend.

If you can find it this'll be good, I didn't have found that size in Absurdistan an the more important flint knapper isn't far from my town, so I use only 3/4 flints, the width is that of the frizzen (~0.734), a bit more than 5/8), and it works pretty good...

I use the 5/8" x 3/4" french amber flints from Stonewall Creek Outfitters in my Traditions Mountain Rifle. In fact I use those flints in all my Traditions rifles so I buy them 50 at a time for $85, which is a great price. If you don't want to buy in bulk they sell them individually for $2.50 each.
FWIW, I use a 5/8" x 3/4" flint in my Traditions Frontier.
