It was yesterday but took the lock off my Miroku Zouave to my neighbor who happens to be a gun builder. He filed some off the sear spring and installed it and the sear. He kept the lock to adjust the tumbler as the main spring would go low when cocked and start to dig into the wood. There is a slight indent in the wood where the lock did this,nothing major. The sear and spring came from Dixie gun works! Highly recommended! Can't wait to shoot it!

My grandson and I cast a few balls with our just arrived Callahan bag mold. Took a bit to get it right but after a few minutes turned out 6 nice balls and called it good enough.

Have to always push myself! Maybe I should start a build thread... so far this is going on 2 years...
Made some Vollkornbrot to go with the smoked venison sausages!

Did a dry run with my new Panther wedge tent today, set it up at home. 10 minutes to erect it myself. Looked great, very well made. 6'8" inside, 7x7 on the ground.

Started working on a horn for my friend who is just getting into muzzleloading at 81 years old! Convinced him to build a Kibler Woodsrunner and he is finishing it so I need to get his horn finished soon!

Arrived in Bowling Green, Ky for NMLRA wood carving class this morning. Unloaded my tools and practice stock. Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the classroom. This should be fun.

No. Loaf is coated with rolled oats. Bread contains Einkorn berries, cracked berries, rye & whole wheat flour. Pumpkin, sunflower, flax, & sesame seeds. Honey, buttermilk, & sourdough starter. Good solid bread!
Easier to make than this Jäger!

Used my drill press to drill out holes in a long strip of plastic that will hold the home made caps for the Primeall application to them. After the caps are loaded with the compound and binder added when dry just flip over and caps easily come off the strip.

Haha no pic had to hustle and get it down before it rained.

Using a 2” hardwood dowel for the ridge pole and 2x4 for the uprights. Very easy to set up.
