I installed a new Irish shot charger on my shot snake.
How do you like those? I’ve hunted with mine for 25 or 30 years. I keep wanting to try the English style, but now I’m rather attached.

My order of 1851 parts came in from Dixie today. Fit and replaced he hand and cylinder bolt on an EIG navy. Turned out very nice and smooth for my first go at cleaning up a very used revolver. It was made in 1968, internals were pretty chewed up. I also installed new treso nipples. Plan on shooting it tomorrow if i can do it early enough. We are supposed to be at 105f tomorrow, yuck!

Took fresh pics of Clementine

I finally got out to the homestead with my new Pedersoli 20ga SxS flinter.. got busy and ran out of time but I managed to get one shot off from both barrels..
25yds 75gr goex 2F, leather OP wad, 1/2” cusion wad, .614 RB, OS wad..
Left bbl put the ball 2” right of bull.
Right bbl gave me 2 flashes in the pan then 2 more that failed to ignite the prime, finally fired and hit the bull (3” square) .

Hopefully I’ll get back out mid-week after locating some shot and I’ll dedicate a day to play with loads but first impressions on the RB are looking good as long as it will put more than one in the same vicinity!

Cast up some Whitworth bullets with a modified Kraenen mould.. Strange lead, used to be supposedly pure Pb for radiation shielding, but shows colored streaks of some kind of oxides(?). They weigh within about a grain so far, and will be paper-patched, so no chance of leading. I'll see how rhey ahoot.
