Went to help a friend clean out the gentleman’s barn as he’s moving and going to sell everything he has acquired over the past sixty years of farming. During the cleanup we came across a broad axe, an old lead melting pot and 130# of lead. Also nine 330 body traps. I paid him 100 dollars for the above. He didn’t want any money for my help so after I paid him he loaded my truck down with metal and plow parts. Forging materials

I cleaned out my gunny junk from the old internal garage I made into a dinning room years ago . There’s a 13g ml shot gun high on the wall but dare not put in any more as they would be seen from road Bet Joan still moans when she gets in , what we men do to please the wife, it’s obscene. The clock covers the incoming electrics

Hot and sunny with clouds My pools gone green in a week somebody suggested a couple handfuls of salt will kill it off might corrode my pump though. I’ll give it a try. This algae is tough to get rid of . It only cost £300 to build back in 1986? 5 ft deep and 15 ft dia. More of a rat swimming in a bucket

Joan just got in and said “Wow”.

Dump a bottle of bleach in the frog pond.

I emptied a horn and replaced the powder with some new fffg. this is truly fffg as i glazed it with graphite. i also used some dextrin just for giggles when i made it. it has been raining here so much the powder in the horn was clumped. the new glazed flows good and burns great. may have to change my method. old dogs can learn new tricks.
After writing this i felt like i was shirking my hobby. so i went out and made a batch of lube for my .54 maxies. i get a little bored smearing the goop into the grooves so i made a block of Teflon into a Luber. drilled a hole .537 through the block.
drilled a .195 hole down from the top intersecting the middle of the horizontal hole. threaded in a grease zirk.
took a grease gun and cleaned it up and cleaned the cartridge. filled it with the bee's wax and secret ingredient.
shove the maxie in until the tip is flush, one pump on the grease gun handle and then push out the maxie filled!
simple things thrill a old guy! :ghostly:

So I finally have a minute and reception! I went to my first gathering at Fiendship Indiana! Pulled out my reenacting tent that’s been in storage for the better part of 15 years. My two older boys and I had a load of fun! I was able to meet a number of forum members. Shoot a Fowler for the first time! Thanks Hatchet Jack! Even hit the bulls eye with it at 25y! Potter horn projects in the works, wooden bows in the works, junior metal wone, targets shot, and hatchets throne!

Stopped by Graf's Reloading Supercenter in Mexico, Missouri to pick up more black powder. They're sold out at the present time, but had musket caps (no help). Lyman Great Plains Rifle - $777.00 - nope. Lots of modern ammo available - nope. Black powder substitutes in stock - nope. Back in truck, drove back to farm.
