Hi,
I found this pistol in the attic of a house I just moved into in northern Italy - I realise it is not worth anything and is in very bad condition missing the mechanism etc, but I am just interested to know if it is an original pistol and roughly how old it might be?
There are no markings on it apart from the crude letters and numbers on the barrel which seem to have been made in 1966.
Thanks!
Lincoln

A home made gun, not made buy a gunsmith.

Do you know, was this type of home made gun made in the period as a real weapon or is it more likely it was for display?
Would people have bought a mechanism and barrel and hand made the stock?
What sort of period would this have been done?
I'm just curious as I have absolutely no idea about this subject so I don't know if we are talking about a few hundred years ago or a few decades ago.
Thanks for any help you can give.
