I need to get the checked linen fabric that I have had for two years sewn into a shirt. Also need to make PC folding cross hardwood legs to replace the iron rod legs currently used for one of our tables. And a new pair of britches would be good. Looks like I need to get busy......

Re-rig my packsaddle to a single cinch/crupper configuration; finally finish getting a complete set of hand-forged traps; sometime or other I should try hand sewing a proper tent of Russia sheeting; make a set of braintan leggins; ....and the list goes on. One thing for sure, this hobby/obsession keeps me busy, off the streets and out of the bars---could be worse things to waste my money on.

I made some centerseam mocs out of elk splits and sewed on a cowhide outer sole on one pair and a self tanned moose hide ( from the spine area, thicker) on a second pair, greased them up and they worked great. I added the outer sole because I felt the elk hide was a little " soft".

Footwear here as well. Do I spend $75-$200 for CW Brogans, or try to make something appropriate like wooden-soled shoes or even Seminole moccasins? CW shirt I made. Trousers I bought new, cap I got second hand.

Build my wooden canoe. Finish the storage area for all of the 18th century kit and clothing so that I can get it organized, and get the wife to quit moving it about.

Recently began making powder horns, so I am working on a series of horns from F&I to 1812 so that I can go to any event with my powder dry.

From there, I am working to build an 1812 kit for the bicentennial of the Battle of New Orleans.

Oddly enough, there was a militia unit using French Napoleonic uniforms taken from the earlier war. I have recently learned that I had an ancestor serving during that battle who was in that unit. Might need to put together one of those outfits.

I'm looking for some brass nibbed pens appropriate for c. 1810. I also need to draft up some more documents and visual aids for a small display.

I might look in to some narrower fall trousers in the future.

Oh, yea, another thing I need to do is build me a proper bench rest for shooting. I've aready got 3 hunting bags(handmade) plus a haversack from Jas. Townsend & Sons. so I'm set there. I have a frockcoat that will be done before hunting season. A couple of ladies here in town run a seamtress shop. They've got the pattern and material ready but I told them no use having it during the summer (to hot) so I told them to hold off until Sept.
