I bought this 12 gauge side by side on gunbroker wanting to get into traditional muzzleloaders. It is a remington and thats all I know about it. Can someone help me identify it?

Welcome to the camp ! :v

FWIW, I've never seen or heard of a Remington muzzleloading double shotgun with back action locks, which your gun has.

Remington did, however, once upon a time import muzzleloading double shotguns from Europe 1855-56 (England) - which carried the mandatory proofmarks required by law in Europe.

Do you have a pic of the "Remington" marking(s) ?

The imported Remington doubles were AFAIK marked "Imported by E. Remington & Sons, Ilion, N.Y." on the top rib.

Working on memory here.....But I seem to recall Remington selling those in the 1970's -1980's

Recall seeing it in a gun digest....or maybe the Dixie gun works catalog....

Imported, country I do not recall but there should be a proof mark somewhere. If no proofs it might be a miroko

Thanks so much for the input. Here are the markings:

They look very similar to the Belgian sxs by Centuria that were around in the 1960,s here in the UK .They had no standard breech's just a plug at the rear end the nipple came straight from the top of the barrel and into the plug . The nipple soon developed a gas leak because of this and eventually blew out
