This is a reproduction hogscraper candlestick made by Thomas Loose (c. 1970's-80's). The underside of the lift is stamped "T LOOSE". Mr. Loose was a master craftsman whose items are highly collected. Polished iron with a brass "wedding band" decorating the stem. This piece has seen some use -- it leans ever so slightly to the right and the top is a bit canted (see photos). There are also a few areas of tarnish. Despite this, the candlestick is very solid and operates perfectly. A magnificent piece for the campsite or homestead. $45 shipped in the lower 48.
