1 in 72" will stabilize a mini just fine and that's what the original Civil War muskets were. The most accurate mini barrel Bobby Hoyt makes is 1 in 60".

As long as they are no more than .002" under bore diameter they should shoot fine, 35 to 50 grains, 2 or 3f.

I had some trouble getting the RCBS 500 gr mini to stabilize in my 1-72 zouave. My 1-48 Musketoon loves the 500 grain. I was hunting and using 60 gr fffg, wanted to turn down the power and see what happens...
Mini balls give you gray hair, but certainly hit with authority.

As hawkeye2 said, the Minie’s must be closely matched to bore size- no more than .002” under.
