USSS Mess Kit

USSS Mess Kit used by Civil War Era Berdan Sharpshooters, mfg'd by Dixie Tin Works
Mess kit includes cover (frying pan), smaller square soup bowl, easy access handle
and main body for boiling water, use as stew pot or just hauling water from lakes/streams.
Convenient mounting strap access for backpack carry.

Dimensions are as follows:
Complete Mess Kit (cover installed) 7 1/2" high x 6" wide x 4" deep
Cover (frying pan) 6" long x 4" wide x 1 1/2" deep
Lifting handle 5" long x 1" wide
Rectangular Bowl 5" long x 3 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" deep
Large Rectangular Pot (cover removed) 7" high x 6" wide x 4" deep

Bought new from Dixie Tin Works, never used.

Can't say enough good about Dixie Tin Works (and sgtprovo is great to deal with too). I've got the same mess kit and it's held up very well. According to their website, and also folks that I trust to know, theirs is based on the originals.

I'm the guy that sold you the US Wool blanket back in Nov. of last year.

I've been down with this covid bug going on four weeks now,
and just can't seem to shake it. I've been remiss on completing
two of my other transactions because i just can't get enough strength to

Yes of course I remember the blanket. I use it quite a lot
The ad requirement is not just for new member or new sellers, as older established members who sell stuff from time to time have been hacked twice in recent memory, so the requirement is for all ads....even me when I get ready to sell some stuff as I go through my basement this week...
