I took the nipple off the GRRW rifle this morning, cleaned it good, fired several CCI caps through it and not the least bit of fouling in the nipple hole! This was with no powder just to see if nipple would be obstructed. Hole was clear! Yesterday I discovered that I had some dampness in the powder container I was using out of. I'm wondering if the powder was even slightly damp if there would be some 'blow back' from a full charge that would be blown back into the nipple to have caused the misfire problems I was having?? The main suspect in this was that with a full charge I had one shot I made with 100 grains KIK 2F that didn't recoil as much as it should have and the ball struck the ground about 40 yards out! Then....I got to looking at said powder! There was a gummy ball inside the can I was using!!
