Selling what seems to be an unfired .50 TC Hawken assembled from a kit. I say unfired, as a wipe of bore yields only what seems to be traces of residue from popping a cap or two. Rod is spotless and lower end never completed. Woo lold has minor handling marks and metal shows finish fading from sunlight(?). I suspect a wall hanger. This is a pre-warning rifle showing a few minor issues from careless assembly (a couple of buggered screws), but otherwise as new. Asking $375 SHIPPED.More pics available.

I am rethinking that this is a kit. May be the cleaning rod was being replaced and owner messed with a few

It’s a poorly finished kit gun.

Yeah, that patchbox screw takes a special touch to remove and why would you want to? The TG screw was just getting in a hurry, I suspect. I may try and replace both, although drawing out the PB screw may not be worth the effort. It doesn't have to come off, even to oil stock.

T/C used cheap steel screws to hold the patchbox in place so you could sand and polish it without removing from the stock to make sure you retained proper fit between stock and metal. They sent brass screws to put in patchbox after finishing.

the boogeredd up triggerguard screws are because the kits didn’t come predrilled and they tried to force them in without drilling them first. If you’ll notice, the tang screw is a bit boogered up for the same reason.

I put together a kit that was at least 30 years old, the barrel was in the white not blued. All the screw holes were pre drilled. The patch box was already in, I just stuck the triggers and trigger guard in place for the picture.
