Here are some before and after photos of the 4-cavity mold for the .454 round ball.
BEFORE 1: Next time, I'll spray some oil on the mold to keep rust from forming. Boy am I embarrassed to admit neglecting my equipment this way. Also note the little bit of lead deposit along the bottom left edge of the bottom half of the mold.
AFTER 1: No more rust and no more lead.
BEFORE 2: This is a lot of lead. I never worried about the outside of the mold. So I never bothered to remove the lead. Call me lazy.
AFTER 2: No more lead.
BEFORE 3: Note the lead residue left mostly on the right most holes.
AFTER 3: No more lead.
BEFORE 4: Again, I was too lazy to take the lead off the outside of the mold.
AFTER 4: No more lead.
