Here's a photo of my TVM smoothbore. My friends almost identical fouler is a good bit slimmer than mine yet they both weight about the same, something over 7 pounds for mine and under that for his. Mine is somewhat robust and has a rear sight and a Chambers Colonial Va lock. It handles nicely and I like it a lot.

 
It's a maple stock that actually has a good bit of figure in it. I made the mistake of getting it stained too dark. You can see the figure in person. It is not the plain maple but the next grade up which is very nicely striped.
 
I've always liked the look of your fowler Hanshi. I like the idea of a rear sight on a smoothbore and I just added one to my trade gun. Cut my groups in half. I now shoot groups at 50 yards that I used to get at 30.
 
It does make a difference. I just shoot it like a rifle and there's no need for switching techniques between the two.
