Finishing my Kibler colonial build.
Took flintlock apart to polish and put back together with the help of this forum. Thanks y'all.
Put rifle together and went to check trigger operation.
Went to half cock, then full cock, fired sparked all good.
Tried again, and would not hold at half or full, nudged single set trigger up a bit and engaged normal.
Seems like after firing the trigger is not returning forward enough just by a hair.
Any ideas?

Sear screw may be too tight. Did you lube the lock after reassembly? Lock screws too tight? Tang screw too tight? Does the lock function properly out of the stock?

Sounds like trigger is rubbing on wood somewhere.

Yep. You might have used too much muscle screwing the lock in place. Back off those screws on the sideplate. More better, remove the lock and look at the wood inlet for shiny spots. If you see some that is evidence of rubbing due to those screws being too tight.

Barbie Chambers has recently posted on several forums about the importance of keeping their locks lubed especially after tear down and reassembly. Degreasing it for browning and failure to relube it can cause problems.
