Side trip. When you hit AZ look for exit to St Johns and take it south (maybe the 191?) Follow signs to Springerville and go the Western Drug. Thats the ONLY local mom n pop type store that has any muzzloader stuff. I have bought a few guns and pick up odd n ends regulary. NOTHING ELSE and I have lived n Flagstaff 55 years.

What brings ya thisa way?

Thanks for the info. We are looking for land. A realtor sent us some examples of 30-40 acre lots of scrub brush and nothingness. Something for my wife and I to use to put a summer cabin up and do some shooting. Hopefully we can find something with a well on it. Anywhere between the two cities. Been to both but not the area in between.

We aren't sure what the rules are for shooting out there. My wife and I (we've been called 'the black powder couple' by a few RSOs at our range in Daytona Beach) have been searching for info and found some like: Must be a mile from any housing to be able to shoot on your property and you can't shoot during 'summer' due to fire hazards. Do you have someplace to shoot?

Just got back. Visited Hubbard trading post. Nice display of muzzleloaders. Went to 'El Morro", a watering hole for travellers in Zuni reservation in New Mexico. On display was a percussion muzzleloader which locked like a "Hawkin" type, and a 1860 Army C&B. It was a great stop and recommend it for everyone.
