Don't recall seeing musket kits before....
 
I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but I'll have to see one before I get excited.....Knowing Traditions, they will probably be so "farby" and incorrect that no reenacting regiment will want one....Which will prove to be a big marketing mistake for Traditions.

I hope I am wrong...
 
Looking at the first picture in the ad I see one thing that is an improvement over many of the Tradition (and others) guns.

The stock wood doesn't have a 3/8 inch (or more) wide flat going completely around the lockplate.

In fact, it looks like a pretty good starting place for finishing that area.
 
I asked on Old South's facebook page whether Spanish or Italian, and the response was Italian.
