I am considering getting and building the Traditions Deluxe Kentucky .50 cal rifle kit. I have searched our forum and even online and can't seem to find information on the type of caps this rifle will need. I am ok with No 11 or even Musket but need to avoid anything that might need a 209. Any insight would be much appreciated.

It will use #11s. Musket caps are reserved for muskets/military rifles unless someone chooses to change their factory nipple to a musket nipple. 209 primers are for inlines. There is not a rifle kit made that comes with anything other than a number 11 nipple. Brand Specific Fit of #11 caps to your nipple will have to be determined by you.

Thank you. I kind of figured the same thing but wanted to verify.
