This community needs YOUR help today. We rely 100% on Supporting Memberships to fund our efforts. With the ever increasing fees of everything, we need help. We need more Supporting Members, today. Please invest back into this community. I will ship a few decals too in addition to all the account perks you get.
Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
So acquired a Tradition's Kentucky Flintlock kit. It was missing the flintlock. So should I try and find a factory lock or just upgrade to an L&R lock? This kit is practice so I don't screw up my Kibler kit.
The Gun Works/Muzzleloading Emporium of Oregon might have a Traditions lock. An L&R lock is better but most likely will not just drop in. You'd have to do a bit of "fitting". Which really isn't too difficult.
Hi! When you say acquired did you buy this new? or second hand? regardless call Traditions Precision Firearms and they will help you. Phone: 860-388-4656 If you bought this new they guarantee their kits and might send you a new one. Make sure to have the serial # handy for them. I have called them before and they are very helpful. ***
